Portrait sessions with me are for families who want to capture everything that they are as a family: the giggles, the snuggles, the love-soaked photographs that will be an ever present reminder of the beautiful chaos that truly is a family. Sure, we’ll snag that holiday card photograph, but Philadelphia family photography sessions with me are much more than a chorus of “cheese!” through forced, bribery-induced smiles.

Children are what brought Veronika to photography; with a Master’s in Education and over ten years of elementary teaching experience, she’s been called everything from a “toddler whisperer” to “pied piper of children”, and has the ability to create joyful, authentic, and playful images of the love-soaked chaos that is parenthood.

As a Philadelphia Family Photographer Veronika loves to capture natural and candid moments between families. Her style is organic, connection-driven, and light filled. Sessions focus on simple, natural beauty and capturing authentic connections with a soft & organic approach. Family sessions are meant to capture your family as it truly is, with direction and gentle prompting to give families guidance through their portraits.

All sessions include a phone consultation to discuss your vision and ideas for the session and access to the client closet and personalized styling for the family; no more wondering if everything coordinates or what photographs well!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Once you’ve reserved your session date, we’ll discuss location. We’re incredibly lucky to have many lovely locations in the Philadelphia area for your session. Whether it’s your home, park, the city, or anywhere else that is special to your family, we’ll document what you love about your family.

Before your session, I’ll send you a questionnaire to learn more about you, your family, and your vision for the session. I’ll also work with you to make sure everyone looks their best for the session, and put together several custom-made style boards based on your family members, favorite colors, and favorite styles. If you decide to borrow outfits from my studio wardrobe, we’ll find a time for you to stop by for a fitting session. You’ll have the chance to try on a variety of beautiful dresses and browse the sweetest outfits for little one.

On the day of your Philadelphia area family session, we’ll meet at the location and take some beautiful images! Approximately two weeks later, your gallery will be complete; you’ll be able to choose your images and artwork, and I’ll be there every step of the way to help you decide on the perfect photographs for your home.

Figuring out what to wear can be one of the most stressful parts of a Philadelphia family photography session. Whether you’re looking for the perfect dress or deciding what big brother will wear, browsing website after website to find the perfect outfit can be time consuming, challenging, and expensive.

All Veronika Paluch Photography clients have access to the studio wardrobe, which is chock full of gorgeous dresses (over 180!) , and the sweetest outfits for children up to size ten. Not only can you be sure that your images will be timeless and cohesive, you’ll also be wearing garments that photograph beautifully – and there’s no need to purchase anything!

When do Philadelphia family photo sessions take place?

That really depends on your family! Some families prefer an early morning session to avoid late bedtimes, while others prefer the soft light that golden hour provides. For in-home or studio sessions, there is more flexibility with timing.

How far in advance should I reserve my family’s portrait session with Veronika?

Most Philadelphia & Main Line area families reserve their session 4-5 months in advance to ensure availability.

Do families have access to the client closet for sessions that take place on location, instead of in-studio?

Yes! Veronika will personally style your family, with hundreds of options for children and over 170 dresses.

Does Veronika offer beach family photo sessions?

Yes! Veronika offers a limited number of sessions for families in Cape May, New Jersey.

Can I reserve a “mini-session” instead of a full family session?

In short, no; while it can seem that young children would benefit from a shorter session, Veronika has found from years of experience as a Philadelphia Family Photographer that it’s actually the opposite. Children need time to warm up to the camera – as well as a new person and location – to ensure the level of comfort that lets their real smiles shine through. The candid, playful portraits that Veronika’s clients have come to love need time; time to play with your children, time to explore, time to snuggle up on a blanket together, twirling their hair in your fingers. “Mini-sessions” don’t allow for these photos, which end up being her client’s favorites.
