I see lots of baby names in my line of work, and I gotta be honest with you.

Caspian (and big sister Cosette!) might be two of my favorites.

I wasn’t someone who knew the names I wanted for my children years in advance. It wasn’t really something I thought of, to be honest, and once Everett was on the way, I spent an inordinate amount of time researching, on Reddit’s Name Nerds (highly recommend!), trying to decide if we should stick to a traditional Czech name or somehow honor our heritage, or choose something altogether different.

What I did know is that I wanted something not entirely common (never have had an Everett in my ten years of teaching – nor an Eleanor!), and something that sounded really nice with our last name (Paluch but pronounced Pollack, like the artist). I love the letter E, both in print and cursive.
However, Caspian and Cosette could’ve easily changed my mind had I thought of them because is that not the perfect sibling pair and most beautiful set of names?
